MAYOR CLINT LORIMORE ENTERS STATE ASSEMBLY RACE

Riverside County Supervisor Kevin Jeffries among early endorsements

(Riverside County, CA – February 3, 2022) Today, Mayor Clint Lorimore announced his campaign for California State Assembly in the 63rd district. Lorimore launched his campaign with endorsements from Riverside County Supervisor and former State Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries and all of the Republican Councilmembers in Eastvale – Mayor Pro Tem Todd Rigby, Councilmember Brandon Plott, and Councilmember Christian Dinco.

“I’m running for State Assembly to fight for conservative principles in Sacramento,” said Lorimore. “The Governor and Democrat politicians in Sacramento continue to impose mandates and regulations that infringe on our constitutional rights and raise the cost of living. They are stripping away our freedom to choose how to raise and educate children, run our businesses, and make healthcare decisions. Families and businesses are fleeing our once great state in droves because taxes are too high, the cost of living is unaffordable, crime is rampant, and homelessness is out of control. Enough is enough – we must send conservatives to Sacramento who will fight for freedom, common sense, local control, lower taxes, stronger public safety, and accountability. I have the experience and passion to get the job done and I’m ready to lead the fight to restore California before it’s too late.”

“I’m proud to endorse Clint Lorimore for State Assembly,” said Supervisor Jeffries, who served three terms in the State Assembly before being elected to the Board of Supervisors. “As a local mayor, Clint has a proven record of standing up to Sacramento and fighting for local control. He will be a strong advocate for public safety, taxpayers, small businesses, and families in Riverside County.”

“I strongly support Clint Lorimore for State Assembly,” said Eastvale Mayor Pro Tem Todd Rigby. “On City Council, Clint championed efforts to balance the budget, implement business-friendly policies, protect property rights, and hire more public safety officers. Clint is a proven, consistent leader.”

A small business owner, Clint Lorimore was elected to the Eastvale City Council in 2014 and currently serves as Mayor. At City Hall, Lorimore has worked diligently to improve public safety, reduce homelessness, attract high-paying jobs, and fight for local control. Lorimore has a proven record of delivering results for his city and in 2021, Eastvale was ranked as the second safest city in Riverside County.

Clint Lorimore was raised in Riverside County where he graduated from local public schools. Clint earned his bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and went on to earn his master’s degree from Claremont Graduate University. Clint has been active in grassroots Republican organizations for over 20 years. He was elected to serve on the Riverside County Republican Party Central Committee in 2016 and he currently serves as Treasurer for the Riverside County Republican Party. Clint has been a proud homeowner in Riverside County since 2004.

The 63rd State Assembly District includes the cities of Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, and Norco, and portions of Corona, Eastvale, and Riverside. The Primary Election will be held on June 7, 2022.
